URL parameters are query string additions appended to URLs after a question mark (?), typically used to pass data between pages or track user behavior. Parameters commonly appear in e-commerce sites for filtering products (?color=red&size=large), tracking campaigns (?utm_source=google&utm_campaign=spring), or managing user sessions (?sessionid=12345). While useful for functionality, each parameter combination creates a unique URL that search engines may treat as separate pages, even when displaying identical content.
